CureVax Laboratory and Research Facility
CureVax, LLC’s laboratory is located in the Downstate Biotechnology Incubator, 760 Parkside Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11226. This incubator building includes state-of-the-art laboratory space and access to facilities at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. The day-to-day activities of the laboratory will be run by Dr. Richard Kolchin, with close coordination with both Dr. Tiwari and Dr. Geliebter, to whom he will report.
All immunological testing of patient samples will be carried out at the laboratory, specifically those to determine the development of an immune response in response to DC-MelVac administration.
These tests include cell-mediated cytotoxicity, cytotoxic T cell frequency determined by Elispot and tetramer assays, cytokine production and antibody production.
Laboratory results will be reviewed at weekly meetings attended by Dr. Wallack, Dr. Tiwari, Dr. Kolchin and Dr. Geliebter. Patient immunological responses will be relevant, not only for the initial Phase I clinical trial of DC-MelVac, but for “next steps” and the design of additional therapeutic modalities and IP.
